What is Nida Fabric?
Nida is a premium quality fabric used predominantly in the Middle East to make abayas. This fabric is favoured over other fabrics because it has a beautiful silky sheen, it hangs well and does not cling to the body. It is a durable fabric that does not bobble, and is minimal creasing (once ironed well the first time), even after several washes.
As a result, nida is the most expensive type of fabric available for the production of abayas. It comes in several grades, and we try our best to source the highest grade nida available on the market, so all of our nida abayas are made from “standard” or “premium grade” nida.
